After winning the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) event at GoPro Motorplex in October and continuing his winning ways at the ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO in Las Vegas a few weeks later, Alessandro De Tullio was a strong contender for this first ever Yacademy and Pole Position Motorsports Driver Advancement Award. Evaluating kart racers from across the country, Alessandro was selected for the two-day test award for not only his on-track results, but his off-track performance as well.

With the selection, Alessandro will be rewarded with two free test days in Pole Position Motorsports’ Ligier JSF4 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway during the Yacademy Winter Series event December 14-15. Alessandro will be coached, trained, and evaluated as he is hopeful this will the start of his transition from karts to cars.

“I am very excited to be testing an F4 car with Pole Position at the Yacademy Winter Series,” expressed De Tullio. “It means a lot to me to finally be able to step in a formula car and be making another step forward in my career. I want to thank Pole Position Motorsports and Yacademy for this great opportunity. I am really looking forward to next week!”

Outshining his competition with his results, Alessandro showed his work and dedication off the track, rising to the leadership role in the Parolin USA program as well as a mentor and coach of his younger teammates. For both Yacademy and Pole Position, being the fastest driver sometimes is not enough, it is about having the whole package and Alessandro has shown to have just that.

Yacademy’s Gustavo Yacaman added, “Yacademy’s goal is to groom the next generation of champions. We specialize in the transition from karting to cars, especially with our close partner development teams like Pole Position Motorsports, Velocity Racing Development and Gonella Racing. We have had the opportunity to see a number of young karting stars have their first open wheel experience. We were able to join forces with Pole Position Motorsports to offer Alessandro this fantastic and very well-deserved opportunity. I am looking forward to working with Ale so that he can maximize this time behind the wheel and show what he can do in the Ligier F4.”

“We are happy to give Alessandro an opportunity to progress in his racing career by offering two test days in one of our Formula 4 cars at the Yacademy Winter Series testing,” continued Yannick Rolland, Pole Position Motorsports Team Manager. “Alessandro has won several big karting events with us this season and he is ready to jump to the next level of racing. We are proud to offer a complete driver development program from the Micro kart class to Formula 4 and Ale is showing the success of our program.”

Stay tuned for more information from the Yacademy program in the very near future.
