The Blue Marble Radical Cup North America series returned to racing this weekend for the season’s second round at Barber Motorsports Park. Coming off a very successful first event with back-to-back-to back wins, and gaining the title of Pro 1500 championship points leader, Danny Dyszelski was ready to carry his momentum with WISKO Racing into the Alabama weekend.

After a wet first day on track, Danny piloted his SR3 into the top spot on track in sunny, dry conditions in the weekend’s first and only qualifying session. Looking to turn that pole position into another win, Dyszelski battled hard for the top spot and came out victorious in the end, taking his first trip to victory lane of the weekend.

Race two and three took place on Saturday in front of a packed house as Dyszelski was eager to keep his winning streak alive. Battling hard for first and leading many laps in the race, the WISKO Racing driver came up just short and was forced to settle for the second position in the weekend’s second race.

“We lost our winning streak,” explained Dyszelski. “But second place is still something to be proud of. We know we have a winning car, so we’re determined to keep pushing when it comes time for race three this afternoon.”

Starting in fourth for race three just after noon on Saturday and amongst out-of-class traffic, Danny crossed the finish line in fourth, as the race finished under yellow conditions.

“The good thing is our goals are high,” added Danny. “Most people would be happy with a pole, a win and a podium at the end of the weekend but we know what this car and this team are capable of, so we are going to keep pushing for that championship.”

After racing outside of series competition this upcoming weekend, Danny Dyszelski will be back behind the wheel of a USF2000 machine at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway May 11-13 before returning to the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America program at Road America in mid-June.
