The season opener of the Radical Cup North America series has come and gone, and the competition is already heating up. With a total of five different winners across the multi-class field, spectators are in for an exciting season to come. Among the six teams on the podium this past weekend at Sebring International Raceway was Virginia-based Radical dealer WISKO Racing, who claimed two Platinum class podiums and one Pro 1500 class podium.

It was Louis Schriber who claimed the first podium for the WISKO Racing team in race one, crossing the finish line just behind the leaders in third. Gregg Gorski followed in fifth with David Alban, Scott Wagner, and Jim Booth who all finished in the top-ten in the talent-filled Platinum class. Rookie Evan Slater, the only car on the WISKO Racing team in the Pro 1500 class was just shy of a podium result in the fourth position.

Race two saw Gregg Gorski make his debut on the Platinum class podium, taking a solid third-place result for the team followed closely by Louis Schriber in fourth and Jim Booth in sixth. The Pro 1500 class saw even Slater, again, claim the fourth position on track as he continued to lurk for a podium result.

It was Evan Slater who got the job done in race three, making his first trip to the Pro 1500 podium in third place while the rest of the team claimed fifth (Schriber), sixth (Booth), seventh (Alban), and eighth (Wagner) in the Platinum class. Gregg Gorski unfortunately didn’t not participate in race three due to an illness.

“We’re happy to have been up on the podium in all three races this weekend,” explained Tom Gladdis, who has taken the reigns of the race team side of the program in 2024. “We haven’t had much time on track this off-season but had positive results considering. We’ve learned what areas we need to focus on going forward, and we’ll look ahead to implementing those in round two at Barber Motorsports Park.”

Round two of the Radical Cup North America series will take place at Barber Motorsports Park April 26-28 alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Stay tuned for more information on WISKO Racing’s driver lineup for that event.
