As the ROK Sonoma Presented by Sanzaru program continues to gain entries and build momentum towards their 2020 season, the series continues to reward its racers. This week, Vortex ROK Junior driver William Ferguson was awarded a test in a Radical SR1 Race Car sponsored by Northwest Radical as part of his prize package for becoming the 2018 series champion.
“William is a talent behind the wheel, and it was nice to see the smile on his face after completing the first session,” explained Steve Cameron. “He had a great day, and this is just another way that ROK Sonoma can give back to their teams and drivers.”
William, courtesy of his championship winning performance last season, is set to join Team USA at the 2019 ROK CUP Superfinal in October. Traveling to Italy to take on the world, Ferguson will look to gain experience, represent his country and aim for the best results possible.
Cameron added, “ROK is continuing their growth here on the West Coast, and we are really looking forward to the 2019 ROK the RIO as well as the 2020 race season.”
