VIR THIS WEEKEND FOR STEVEN CLEMONS JR. AND BSI RACING

Fresh off a top-ten result at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) just a few weeks ago, BSI Racing’s Steven Clemons Jr. is ready to improve on that again this weekend. Taking on the Toyota GR Cup North America’s third event weekend at the fast and flowing VIRginia International Raceway, (VIR), Clemons Jr. enters the weekend with drive and confidence as he continues to gain momentum throughout the 2023 season.

“This is the last race before a six-week break from the series, so we definitely want to do well this weekend and enter the break on a high,” explained BSI Racing’s Shea Holbrook. “Steven has come into his own as of late and showed a lot of drive and determination at COTA. That goes a long way with the team, and I know everyone has been working hard to give him a car that can win. Hopefully, VIR is our place, and we can continue the success and end the first half of the season strong.”

“VIR is a fast and flowing track and pretty much a high-speed game of chess,” added Clemons. “It is going to be about momentum and keeping your speed up around this place. With the car we have and a little luck on our side, I know we can do well.”

Currently 14th in the championship point battle out of the 31 drivers that have started a race this season, Clemons is just six markers shy of breaking into the top-ten, a goal for the weekend.

With a pair of practice sessions on Friday to dial everything in, qualifying Saturday morning will yield way to the first wheel-to-wheel action that afternoon. The weekend will conclude Sunday with the second race of the double race weekend as Steven Clemons Jr. and BSI Racing look to find their way to a podium result.

Following VIR this weekend, the Toyota GR Cup North America program will make their street circuit debut in Nashville before heading to Sebring and Indianapolis to finish out the season.
