Set to get away from the cold temperatures in the Midwest, VemmeKart USA will make the trek south to the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup event in Daytona, Florida. Taking place in the infield of the famous Daytona International Speedway, VemmeKart USA will enter three strong drivers in three different classes as they look to start their 2018 season off on the right foot.
“We had huge success in 2017 with Braden Eves, Colin Neal and Chase Gardner as they were able to prove that the VemmeKart brand is a force in the United States on both the regional and national level,” explained Andy Gernand, importer for the VemmeKart USA line of products. “This will be our first real event as a race team as we re-launched the company only a few short months ago. I would like to personally thank the drivers that have believed in the product as well as the team of people that I have around helping to make this possible.”
Two Senior level drivers will be in action as Colin Neal and Alex Salsbury will see action in the KA100 and and IAME Senior classes, respectively. Neal found success on the VemmeKart chassis in 2017 with national level victories in WKA competition and will look to return to the top step of the podium in the KA100 category. Salsbury, a resident of the Northeast, will make the trip to the Sunshine State for his first event with the VemmeKart program.
Texan Chase Gardner will throw his hat in the mix in the IAME Mini Swift division, fresh off a solid result at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals in November. Using the event to test for the 2018 racing season, Gardner will work closely with VemmeKart USA on chassis setup and development as they focus on race wins and championships for the upcoming season.
Gernand continued, “We have a great trio of drivers that have the potential for impressive on track results. In the paddock, we will have VemmeKart chassis on display, and we invite anyone and everyone to stop by and take a look.”
In other news, VemmeKart USA has also confirmed plans to compete at the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour as well as the Superkarts! USA Winter Series during the months of January to March. Furthering their plans for 2018, VemmeKart USA will also run a national level program at the SKUSA Pro Tour, WKA Manufacturers Cup and the United States Pro Kart Series all while providing product support at local kart clubs throughout the Midwest.
