After making the switch to Trinity Karting Group and obtaining his first race win with the squad, Evagoras Papasavvas is ready for this weekend’s United States Pro Kart Series event at the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park. Piloting a Tony Kart chassis, Papasavvas will see action in the KA100 Junior class as he looks to find his way to the top step of the podium in one of North America’s most competitive karting series.
“I am anxious and looking forward to getting back on track and see what I can do at a national level event with my new team,” explained Papasavvas. “The team’s location compared to where we live makes it easier for more on track and seat time which will help me in the future for sure.”
The New Castle Motorsports Park boasts one of the country’s longest karting layouts and provides drivers a great speed experience. With a long back straightaway, drafting is key and that is what Evagoras will work on most in the two days of testing prior to the first wheel-to-wheel action on the weekend.
Evagoras continued, “A driver can be off at New Castle but still be in the lead pack because of the draft. I have learned a lot already with my new team as well as my experience in the F4 car with Jay Howard and look to put that to use this weekend.”
While official race action does not start until Saturday, Evagoras Papasavvas will be on track Thursday in preparation for a busy weekend of competition. Stay tuned to the Evagoras Papasavvas social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event weekend.
