With only two events remaining on his 2020 karting calendar, Ryan Shehan is hoping to make the best of both. Ready to attack the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for the second time in his career this weekend for the United Pro Kart Series (USPKS) finale, Shehan will pilot a Team Crosslink Exprit Kart in the X30 Pro class as he looks to close the series on a high and carry momentum for the rest of 2020 and onwards into 2021.

“The USPKS Pro Class is stacked with strong competition,” expressed Shehan. “GoPro is in the heart of IAME country on the East Coast and a track that many of the strong Florida and Midwest teams compete at on a regular basis. I am expecting not only the tough competition from a long list of national drivers, but also some very fast local drivers that race in their very strong club program.”

Currently sitting ninth in the overall point standings, Shehan is coming off a pair of top-ten results at the most recent round at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and is looking to improve on that at the Mooresville, North Carolina facility.

Shehan added, “It is a lot of firsts for me this year in the Senior class. As a rookie, it was my first trip to Road America for the last round and it will be first trip to GoPro in the Pro class. Go Pro is one of my favorite tracks in the country, and I can’t wait to get out there on Thursday. Also, with the tough competition expected, it will be a good tune up for ROK the RIO in early November and the start of the 2021 season.”

With official competition beginning on Friday, Shehan and his Team Crosslink program will have the chance to hit the track on Thursday and build on his work from his previous event at Road America. Continuing to fine tune his #376 Exprit on Friday, wheel-to-wheel action will take place Saturday and Sunday with two complete race days and two chances to top the podium.

Competing at the highest level of karting takes support and Ryan Shehan would like to thank Team Crosslink, OTK USA, Lucky Designs, Stilo Helmets, Guide North, Sean Owens, Christian Boudon, John Russell, Zach Hamilton, and the rest of his support crew for the continued support in 2020.

Remainder of 2020 Schedule for Ryan Shehan:

  • United States Pro Kart Series – GoPro Motorplex – October 23-25
  • ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO – RIO All-Suites Hotel & Casino – November 4-8
