It is time to battle on the bricks for Tyler Maxson and his co-driver Bryan Ortiz as the pair will take their #91 Van Der Steur Racing Hyundai Elantra N TCR on the road course of the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) in a four-hour main event leading into Saturday night. Showing speed throughout the season, the pair of talented drivers are ready to climb to the top of the famed IMS podium as the 2023 season begins to wind down.

IMSA is returning to the brickyard for the first time since 2014 with the support of TireRack.com. An action-packed weekend is sure to fill the hearts and minds of locals as well as the drivers who get the chance to race on another iconic track, this time in the heart of Indiana. The full weekend schedule includes plenty of racing events such as the Porsche Carrera Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and the event Maxson and Ortiz are looking forward to the most, the Michelin Pilot Challenge where drivers will compete in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 240. In a four-hour racing event that kicks off at 4:30pm local time, Maxson and Ortiz will be fighting for the results that they deserve in the talent-filled TCR class.

“I feel ready to hit the bricks hard and take on the challenge that is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” Maxson explained. “I have competed at IMS on several occasions and look forward to the opportunity to do so again. I think our Van Der Steur Racing entry has the speed needed to run at the pointy end of the grid, we just need to have a little lady luck to go along with that speed.”

This weekend marks the second last weekend for the Michelin Pilot Challenge in their 2023 season. With only the events happening alongside Petit Le Mans in October being left, Tyler Maxson is eager to clutch a victory to close out the season.

Maxson added, “While I have yet to win in 2023, there is no better place to get over that hurdle than at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”
