Set to make his series debut behind the wheel of the all new Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec TCA car, Floridian Tyler Gonzalez will enter his first SRO TC America Championship event of the season in the talent filled TCA class this coming weekend. Competing under the Bryan Herta Autosport w/ Curb Agajanian banner, Gonzalez will travel to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the final TC Americas event of the season.

“I have been waiting a long time for this weekend to come and can’t wait to get started,” explained Tyler Gonzalez. “The excitement behind the new Hyundai TCA package has been building, and I am happy to be able to be the first driver of the new machine in North America.”

Competing with the Copeland Motorsports squad for a partial season in the Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup, Gonzalez consistently found his way to the top-ten in the national level series. In his home state of Florida, the young driver was at the front of the field in SCCA Regional racing action as well as karting events throughout the state.

Gonzalez added. “We completed a test in Indiana a few weeks ago to put the car through its paces. I was impressed how well everything went right off the trailer. We worked on different items throughout the day and found some items that were too good, and some items that we needed to refine. I am confident heading to Las Vegas and look forward to representing the Bryan Herta Autosport program.”

With plans already confirmed for 2020, Gonzalez will return to the Copeland Motorsports program as he focuses on a full season effort of TC America competition.
