TYLER GONZALEZ LOOKS TO EXTEND TCA CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS LEAD AT ROAD AMERICA

With four victories in 2020 and six podiums in the past six events, Tyler Gonzalez will look to continue that streak this weekend at Road America. Taking on the 14-turn, 4.14-mile facility, the Copeland Motorsports and Hyundai driver will look to keep the momentum going in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

“It has been a good restart to the season, but it has not come without stress and drama,” explained Gonzalez. “An overnight engine change at VIR, starting from the tail of the grid and some other issues have tried to knock us down but we have come out swinging to get back to our feet. A huge thanks to all of my partners for all of their hard work, support and efforts to date.”

Leading the TCA Championship by nineteen points, Gonzalez is riding a wave of success as of late and has no signs of slowing down.

“I think we have had great results for what we have been given,” added Gonzalez. “The Copeland Motorsports guys have had some time at the shop to prepare, and I am confident that they have worked out all the bugs. If we have a good, smooth weekend, I can’t see why we could not walk away with a trio of race wins.”

Just as it has been for the previous two rounds, Gonzalez will be on track on Wednesday for a Promoters Test Day before official practice begins on Thursday. With another triple header weekend on the docket, qualifying and race one will take place on Friday with races two and three on Saturday and Sunday.
