After a strong first two rounds of the Pirelli GT4 America season, Tyler Gonzalez is looking for more success with Smooge Racing in rounds three and four at Sebring International Raceway this weekend. Entering the weekend with his co-driver John Geesbreght atop the Pirelli GT4 America Pro-Am Point standings, the driving duo has one win and a pair of top-five results in the opening two rounds of 2024.

In the opening race weekend at Sonoma Raceway, Gonzalez and Geesbreght claimed a victory and a fourth-place finish in the Silver Class and are looking for more at what can be classified as Tyler Gonzalez’s home track.

“We were strong in the #68 all weekend at Sonoma, and I think that strength will carry over this weekend in Sebring,” Gonzalez explained. “I’m excited to see what we can accomplish in rounds three and four, but also compete in front of family and friends in my home state of Florida.”

Heading into the weekend, Smooge Racing currently holds the lead in the Pirelli GT4 America Silver Team Championship as well.

“It’s still early in the season, but it’s always nice to be leading a championship,” Gonzalez added. “We’ve put ourselves in a good position, and I believe we will continue to fight for podiums, wins, and ultimately, the championship.”

The #68 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO will take to the track Friday along with the rest of the GT4 America field for a pair of practice sessions. Qualifying will take place Saturday morning, with race one scheduled for Saturday evening. The weekend wraps up with race two on Sunday afternoon.
