Brothers Ethan and Jackson Tovo are preparing for another busy weekend of racing as they take on multiple events across two disciplines, highlighted by the prestigious Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints at Road America and Late Model racing at Tri-County Speedway.
One of the longest-running and most respected amateur road racing events in North America, the June Sprints annually attracts top talent from across the country to the famed 4.048-mile Road America circuit.
Ethan Tovo will pull double duty throughout the event, competing in both the Formula F (FF) class with K-Hill Motorsports and the GT2 category with Nitro Motorsports. As the victor of the 2025 June Sprints in the Formula Ford class at just 14 years of age, Ethan will be looking to go back-to-back. The opportunity will allow Ethan to continue developing his skills across multiple types of race cars while gaining valuable experience at one of America’s premier road courses.
Meanwhile, Jackson Tovo will focus his Road America efforts on the GT2 class with Nitro Motorsports. Jackson will participate in Thursday’s practice sessions before shifting gears on Friday and Saturday to compete in a Late Model event at Tri-County Speedway. He will then return to Road America in time for GT2 qualifying and Sunday’s feature race.
The demanding schedule showcases the versatility both drivers have developed while balancing careers in road racing and stock car competition.
“I’m really excited for this weekend because I’ll get the chance to drive two very different race cars at one of my favorite tracks,” says Ethan. “Road America is such an iconic place to race, and every lap there is valuable. The goal is to keep learning, gain more seat time, and continue building momentum throughout the season.”
“It’s definitely going to be a busy few days, but that’s the kind of challenge we enjoy,” added Jackson. “I’ll be bouncing between Road America and Tri-County Speedway, which means racing two completely different styles of cars in the same weekend. Every opportunity to race helps us become better drivers, and I’m looking forward to making the most of it.”
The SCCA June Sprints weekend will begin Thursday with practice sessions at Road America. GT2 qualifying and racing action will conclude on Sunday, while Jackson’s Late Model commitments at Tri-County Speedway will take place Friday and Saturday.
