TOPP Racing enters the final stretch of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season with championship opportunities in both the Mobil Pro class and Rookie standings. As the series heads to Road Atlanta September 30–October 2, Cole Kleck leads the Rookie championship while teammate Tyler Maxson holds an 11-point advantage in the Mobil Pro class.

The Braselton, Georgia weekend marks the second-to-last event of the season, putting four races between TOPP Racing and the ultimate finish line. With Kleck and Maxson both near the top of their respective standings, the team will look to carry its momentum into a critical weekend of competition.

For Kleck, Road Atlanta carries added significance. The #78 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup driver made his Porsche Carrera Cup North America debut at the circuit in 2025 with TOPP Racing, shortly after securing the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Pro/Am championship at the same venue. Now leading the 2026 Rookie championship, Kleck will draw on his experience at Road Atlanta as he works to maintain his top position through the final rounds.

Maxson arrives at Road Atlanta leading the Mobil Pro class by 11 points. Behind the wheel of the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the TOPP Racing driver will look to extend his championship advantage at a circuit where he found speed and success one year ago, earning his second victory of the 2025 season at the iconic Georgia road course.

The 2.540-mile circuit presents a varied challenge for the Porsche Carrera Cup field, with 12 corners, significant elevation changes, and several high-speed sections. Road Atlanta values commitment and precision, with Maxson and Kleck set to take on two races there as they continue their respective championship battles.

“We’re heading into Road Atlanta in a strong position with both Cole and Tyler leading their respective championships, which is a great reflection of the work this team has put in all season,” commented TOPP Racing Team Owner Todd Oppermann. “There’s still a lot of racing ahead of us, and we know how quickly things can change, so our focus is on being as prepared as possible for Round Seven. Road Atlanta is an important event for us, and we’re ready to get to work.”

Road Atlanta will host Porsche Carrera Cup North America alongside the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The penultimate event begins Wednesday with two practice sessions before Qualifying and Race One on Thursday. The weekend concludes with Race Two on Friday.
