TOPP Racing closed out its 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge campaign this past weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, collecting multiple podium finishes and strong championship results across the GT3 Cup and Cayman classes.
In the GT3 Cup Pro/Am class, Danny Dyszelski delivered a dominant performance in the opening race of the weekend. Dyszelski secured pole position before converting his front-row starting spot into a victory, bringing home the top step of the podium for TOPP Racing. Dyszelski qualified second for race two, but severe weather ultimately forced cancellation of the season finale. The race will not be made up, bringing Dyszelski’s 2026 campaign to a close. He finished fifth in the championship standings, while TOPP Racing secured fourth in the GT3 Cup team championship.
The Cayman classes saw a strong weekend from father-son duo Cody and Chad Knight. Cody competed in the Cayman Pro/Am class, while his father Chad represented TOPP Racing in the Cayman Masters class. Cody qualified sixth in class for race one, with Chad securing fifth on the grid for the Masters class. Both drivers delivered solid runs, with Cody finishing fourth in Pro/Am and Chad crossing the line fifth in Masters. The pair returned to the podium in race two. Cody secured third place in the Cayman Pro/Am class, while Chad matched the result with a third-place finish in the Cayman Masters class.
Their consistent performances throughout the season earned Cody fourth in the Pro/Am championship standings and Chad fifth in the Masters championship. Together, the father-son duo helped TOPP Racing secure fifth in the Cayman team championship.
“It was a really strong way to close out the Sprint Challenge season,” said TOPP Racing Team Owner Todd Oppermann. “Danny was incredible in race one, putting the car on pole and bringing home the win, and Cody and Chad both finished the weekend with podiums. Obviously, we would have liked to run the second GT3 race, but the weather was out of our control. We are proud of what this team accomplished this season and especially proud of the consistency we showed across all three of our entries.”
With the Porsche Sprint Challenge season now complete, TOPP Racing will immediately shift its focus to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the next round of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
The team will field Tyler Maxson and Cole Kleck, with Maxson entering the weekend as the current championship leader. Kleck sits sixth overall in the championship while leading the rookie standings, giving TOPP Racing two drivers firmly in championship contention heading into the final stretch of the season.
The Indianapolis weekend will begin Friday with two practice sessions followed by qualifying. Race one will take place Saturday, with race two scheduled for Sunday. Fans can watch both Porsche Carrera Cup races live at IMSA.com/TVLive.
