THE PING BROTHERS ARE SET TO COMPETE THIS WEEKEND IN TWO DIFFERENT CHAMPIONSHIPS

As Zack Ping and the USF2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires begin their second half of the season at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend, Noah Ping and the rest of the GB3 Championship gear up for their fourth round of the season at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk, England. Both Ping brothers compete with the English American-based team VRD Racing, which is also paired up with Arden Motorsport in their European endeavors.

It has been a month since Zack has seen wheel-to-wheel action in the car, and he is eager to get back on track.

“We’re halfway through this year,” explained Zack Ping. “We’re continuing to get better as the season goes on. It’ll be important for the VRD team and me to really focus on finishing strong this weekend and boosting our championship points. Instead of counting the races, we’re starting to count down the ones that are left so every point and position gained counts.”

On the other side of the pond, Noah Ping scored his first GB3 career win at Silverstone Circuit back at the beginning of May and is looking forward to another trip to victory lane.

“The team and I have a few test days under our belt at Snetterton from back in March,” added  Noah. “We feel more prepared going into this weekend than we’ve probably felt the rest of this season. It’s been a steep learning curve this year, but I got a bit of confidence and momentum from my first win and we’re going to continue to work hard for more.”

You can catch Zack on track at Road America starting Thursday for a couple of test sessions. Friday he will practice and qualify, and on Saturday will take part in two 45-minute races. You can find the full weekend schedule and stream the qualifying sessions and races live on USF2000.com. The schedule for Noah’s weekend at Snetterton has yet to be finalized but will feature three more rounds of races and will mark the halfway point in the season at the conclusion of the third race.
