After pulling double duty by driving and coaching during the IMSA Roar before the 24 weekend, Jonatan Jorge and his Driver Development program will be returning to coaching only duties this coming weekend at the Daytona International Speedway. With the annual and prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona taking the green flag on Saturday, Team JJRD drivers will be in action throughout the week in a variety of different classes.

“It is going to be a busy weekend, but I would not have it any other way,” explained Jorge. “It was awesome to be able to get to drive a few weeks ago, and I should have some more news on that front in the near future, but this weekend is all about ensuring my customers and clients are at the front of the field in their respective classes.”

Coaching the quartet of P1 Motorsports drivers, Jonatan Jorge will assist Mercedes pilots JC Perez, Maxi Buhk, Fabian Schiller and Dominik Baumann this weekend in Daytona. In a yearlong program, Perez and Buhk will fly the Team JJRD colors in IMSA competition, as Jorge will join the team for each and every event throughout the 2019 racing season.

In the TCR Ranks, a pair of drivers will make the switch from open-wheel racing to IMSA competition and rely on Team JJRD’s experience and knowledge to assist them in their transition. Russ McDonough and Ryan Nash will join forces in an Audi RS with Team Europarts as the duo make their GT racing debut at the famed Daytona International Speedway.

Also joining Team Europarts and the elite JJRD program are GS drivers Tyler Cook and Kenton Koch, providing Jorge a full weekend schedule just off the shores of Daytona Beach.

Jorge continued, “Between the IMSA WeatherTech field and the drivers in the Michelin Pilot program, there are a total of 27 drivers that I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. It is very rewarding to see the progress of these drivers as well as welcome the newcomers to Team JJRD. Our goal is to continue to provide the best customer services and coaching to all of our clients and give them the best chance to stand on top of the podium at the end of the weekend.”
