After opening the 2020 race season with a win back in January, Jonatan Jorge and his Forty7 Motorsports entry have been back on track logging laps prior to the restart of the race calendar. Testing at the Sebring International Raceway as they prepare for events in July, Jorge and his co-driver duo of Kyle Kirkwood and Joel Janco logged full race distances as they continued to work on reliability and end of stint speed to ensure that they can continue their winning ways.

“It was a great two days back on track as we were able to shake off the rust,” explained Jorge. “The global pandemic has thrown a wrench into everyone’s plans in 2020, but it is nice to finally return to some normalcy. It was great to spend some extra time with the family, but it is back to the racetrack and a jam-packed schedule for the next five months.”

Piloting a P3 entry in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, Jorge will also continue his coaching duties in the Road to Indy with DeForce Racing as well as in the FR Americas program which kicks off next week at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Jorge added, “We had the off season, a month or two back to work and then another off season. We hope that everyone continues to stay safe and slow the spread of COVID-19, and we will definitely be doing our part at events in the future.”
