Competing two weekends ago at Road America in the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and this past weekend at the opening round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), Team Benik will continue to stay busy as they travel to North Carolina. Taking part in this weekend’s World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup as well as the following weekend ROK Cup USA ROK Fest East program, it is a jam-packed month of racing for the Florida based program.

Entering three competitors at the upcoming WKA event, Jeremy Fletcher will be back with Team Benik as he pulls double duty on the weekend. Competing in both the ROK Junior and 100cc Junior classes, Fletcher will be aiming towards the top of the podium in his quest for two race wins on the weekend. Michael Costello will pilot a Benik entry in the X30 Junior class while Asher Ochstein, fresh off a pair of top-five finishes in USPKS competition, will look to carry the momentum into North Carolina.

“Asher scored his first national victory in Charlotte a few weeks ago and backed it up with a pair of top-five results this past weekend at New Castle Motorsports Park,” explained Nick Mitchell. “He is gaining experience and learning how to win along the way. I fully expect Asher to be battling for more wins and podiums over the next few weeks of racing.

With Ochstein gaining a pair of top-five results, as well as a third-place finish in Saturday’s Micro ROK prefinal, X30 Junior Pro driver Michael Costello was back on track and logged laps to gain experience and test for upcoming events weekends. Mini Swift competitor Brayden Traver competed in his first career national level event showing consistency in lap time and great improvement throughout the event weekend.

On track action this weekend begins on Thursday with unofficial practice. Official competition begins on Friday with two more practice rounds before qualifying Friday and a full set of heat races on Saturday. The weekend’s prefinals and main events will take place Sunday.
