Doubling up on entries for the second round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour, TB Kart USA will continue to push the gearbox category this coming weekend in Ocala, Florida. Taking on the short, but challenging Ocala Gran Prix (OGP) facility, six TB Kart USA branded drivers will enter two separate gearbox categories as they aim to fight their way to the top step of the podium.

“We have had much success at OGP in local, regional and national level competition so we are really looking forward to this weekend,” explained Farshad Bagheri. “To bring three more drivers aboard and expand our shifter kart program is great and any of our six in competition can stand atop the podium blocks in Ocala.”

After a strong 2020 Florida Winter Tour that saw TB Kart USA drivers on the podium throughout the campaign, 2021 left the three-driver squad to a single podium result at the end of round one. Returning with a vengeance this weekend, a pair or drivers will battle in the Shifter ROK class as four more will see action in Shifter Master ROK.

Consistently improving on the results sheets throughout the weekend, Zachary Hollingshead will be joined by Nick Trumbull in the Shifter ROK class. While Hollingshead showed pace and moved forward in almost every official session at Isle Casino, breaking into the top-ten in the weekend’s main event, Trumbull will enter his first Florida Winter Tour race of the 2021 racing season.

Looking to build off of his podium performance in round one, Rene Martinelli will lead a quartet of Shifter Master ROK competitors into Ocala. Returning from round one and looking to turn his speed into a solid performance will be TB Kart USA’s own Farshad Bagheri. Multi-time 2020 podium winner Peter Licciardi will make his 2021 Florida Winter Tour debut in Ocala as he will be joined by Ed Ortiz.

Bagheri continued, “We have a strong group and hope to show what our chassis can do. The goal in 2021 is to grow our race team and dealer network and if we keep on the same pace that we have done from January to February, we will be in great shape.”

With on track action set to commence on Thursday, Friday will be the home of qualifying and the first of three heat races. Saturday will see the green flag fly for heats two, three as well as the prefinal while Sunday will feature the weekend’s main events.
