It was a breakthrough win for Diego Ardilles this past weekend at the opening round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). Piloting a Supertune prepared Tony Kart in the Mini Swift class, Ardilles claimed the top step of the podium on Sunday while Noah Baker showed consistency in the junior classes earning a pair of top-five results.

“A huge congratulations to Diego and Tony Kart on the Mini Swift class win on Sunday,” explained Supertune’s Ben Cruttenden. “Diego has shown great speed, but he was able to close the deal this past weekend. I believe that this will provide a big confidence boost and momentum for the next two event weekends this month.”

After finishing fourth on Saturday, Ardilles returned to sweep the day on Sunday claiming the pole position, prefinal win and main event victory to score maximum points on the day. Fellow Mini Swift driver Karsyn Walters added two more top-ten results for the Indiana based program as she fought her way forward in a tough field of drivers.

Noah Baker pulled double duty on the weekend competing in both the X30 Junior Pro and KA100 Junior classes. With a Saturday that saw a pole position run in one class and an off pole qualifying effort in the other, bad luck in wheel-to-wheel racing netted him 15th and 16th place results. Returning to the track on Sunday to qualify second in both classes, Baker earned a podium result in the X30 ranks while adding a top-five in KA100 Junior as well. While Baker had issues on Saturday, it was Jorge Ortiz who carried the Supertune flag in X30 Junior Pro with a seventh-place finish after the final race results were official. Fernando Luque joined Baker in the KA100 Junior class and secured two top-fifteen results. Showing great improvement from year-to-year, Luque is advancing up the results sheet race after race.

X30 Pro driver Alex Zhang improved from his 31st place result on Saturday to crack the top-twenty on Sunday keeping his Tony Kart out of trouble and advancing forward.

With little time off, Supertune will now shift their focus to this weekend’s ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour finale. Taking place at the same Ocala Gran Prix facility, Tony Kart drivers will be fighting at the front of the field with the chance at race wins and podium results while championships remain on the line.
