The final round of the 2021 United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) is this weekend and Supertune will bring five Tony Kart drivers to the event. Challenging the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, the Tony Kart branded program will aim for race wins and podium results as the season ends for one of the nation’s most competitive karting series.
Diego Ardiles has been a pole position winner, heat race winner and main event victor in United States Pro Kart Series competition during three different races this season but he will look to put it all together at the finale. Sitting fourth in the Mini Swift standings and with an outside shot at the national championship, Ardiles will need a near perfect weekend in North Carolina.
Jorge Ortiz will be the joined by Raiden Nicol under the Supertune tent and in the X30 Pro Junior class as Texan Noah Baker withdrew from the race after breaking his collar bone. With Ortiz and Nicol representing the Indianapolis based program, the focus will be on them to ensure they are at the front of the junior field.
A pair of Supertune entries will compete in the X30 Pro class as Alex Zhang and Yuli Feng will do battle. Gaining experience with each passing lap, the pair of drivers will look to improve throughout the weekend and climb the results sheets by the time the final checkered flag flies on Sunday.
“It’s a small lineup but one that we can focus on to achieve the best possible results,” explained Ben Cruttenden. “As we move into November and December, we will see our driver count grow at the ROK Cup USA ROK Vegas and Superkarts! USA SuperNational events but for now, we can provide the most complete program and best service possible.”
With drivers hitting the track Thursday, wheel-to-wheel action will begin on Saturday as the 2021 USPKS finishes. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for news, information, photos and results throughout the event weekend.
