With the first quarter of the year nearly complete, Supertune is now set to begin their third championship series of 2021. Taking place this weekend at Ocala Gran Prix, the United States Pro Kart Series will take their first green flag of the season and Supertune will have a large seven entry presence. With drivers competing in four different classes, Supertune will be looking to carry on their momentum.

“We have spent the first two months in Florida competing at the Superkarts! USA Winter Series and ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour,” explained Supertune’s Ben Cruttenden. “We are starting our third series of the year with anticipation as this will kick start three weekends of racing in a row.”

Beginning with the youngest of the Supertune drivers, Diego Ardiles and Karsyn Walters will compete in the Mini Swift class as both drivers have had very strong performances in Florida to date in 2021. Running the Ocala Gran Prix layout counterclockwise, different than the Florida Winter Tour race last month, both competitors will aim for the top step of the podium and start their USPKS season off right.

Perennial frontrunner Noah Baker will pull double duty in Ocala as he sets his sights on two USPKS championships. As the current point leader in the Junior ROK class at the Florida Winter Tour, Baker enters the event weekend with momentum. Joining him in the Junior ranks will be 2021 podium winner Jorge Ortiz in the X30 Pro Junior class while Fernando Luque will help fly the Supertune flag in KA100 Junior. Alex Zhang will make his return to the Supertune driver lineup as he will throw his hat in the mix in X30 Pro.

With unofficial practice beginning on Thursday, practice will continue on Friday as Supertune drivers and crew fine tune their Tony Kart equipment to prepare for two separate race days on Saturday and Sunday. Following the United States Pro Kart Series event this weekend, Supertune will stay on site for the third and final round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter the next weekend before traveling to NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans for the opening round of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour.
