The third event weekend in the United States Pro Kart Series is fast approaching and Supertune is primed and ready for the challenge. Traveling north to the CMetric Motorplex on the grounds of the famed Road America, Supertune will bring five hungry competitors to fight for race wins and podium results.
“We had some success at Road America in 2020 and will look to match or improve on that this week,” explained Supertune’s Ben Cruttenden. “We have a strong driver lineup, and I am confident that we can be at the top of the results sheet in several classes this weekend.”
Two competitors will enter X30 Junior Pro under the Supertune banner as Noah Baker and Jorge Ortiz will look to add to their win totals in 2021. Baker and Ortiz have been frontrunners throughout the 2021 season, and they will look to be at the pointy end of the field on Saturday and Sunday.
Pulling double duty of the weekend, Baker will enter the KA100 Junior class as he races alongside Fernando Luque. With two Supertune drivers in the 100cc class, the pair will work together to make sure that they can challenge at the front of the field.
2021 race winner Diego Ardiles currently sits fourth in the Mini Swift championship and will look to move forward this weekend. As a multi-time race winner this season, Ardiles will be looking to add to his win total. While five of the six Supertune drivers will contest in the Junior divisions or lower, Haopeng Zhang will enter X30 Pro in his second USPKS event of the season.
Supertune competitors will hit the track Thursday and Friday for a test and practice day before two wheel-to-wheel races on Saturday and Sunday. With rounds five and six of the eight-race program set to be complete this weekend, championship battles will be cemented heading into the final event of the 2021 season in October.
