With a busy few weeks of racing on the horizon, Speed Concepts Racing will kick start a solid four weeks of competition this weekend at the IAME USA Grand National Championships. Taking place at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, the Redspeed program will enter seven drivers in the inaugural event over the July 30 to August 2 weekend.
“The IAME Nationals are shaping up to be an event that will be on the calendar for years to come,” explained Mike Speed. “We have seven drivers, and we want to win. We absolutely love the GoPro facility and are intrigued about the event format.”
The SCR Junior contingent will feature three drivers as multi-time race winner Ayden Ingratta will lead the way. A driver that has come into his own in 2021, Ingratta will be a major threat for victory this coming weekend. Joining the Canadian in the Junior category will be perennial frontrunner and 2021 race winner Jack Jeffers as well as G3 Argyros, who will look to continue his upward trend after coming off his strongest event this season. Felipe Benito and David Ramirez will throw their hats into the mix in the IAME Mini Swift class as they look to take the Redspeed Cadet kart to the front of the field. In the Senior ranks, FR Americas Powered by Honda point leader Kyffin Simpson returns to karting for a shot at IAME Grand National glory competing alongside Santiago Benito in the X30 Senior ranks to complete a powerful driver lineup.
Speed continued, “Following the event at GoPro we will immediately head to New Castle Motorsports Park to prep and test for the SKUSA SummerNationals. Three weeks on the road and several chances at victory.”
