Fresh off another winning weekend, Speed Concepts Racing will now swap their IAME engines for Vortex ROK powerplants for the opening round of the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour. Taking place at the ultra fast Palm Beach Karting facility in Jupiter, Florida, Speed Concepts Racing will enter six drivers across a pair of racing divisions.

“We were able to win at the World Karting Association (WKA) event in Daytona as well as the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series in Homestead so I am confident that we can win in our third series of the year this weekend,” explained Mike Speed. “We showed a lot of speed here back in early December for the ROK Winter Cup so I am hoping we can carry that through this weekend.”

Spread amongst two different divisions, Speed Concepts Racing will enter six hungry competitors. Last week’s double podium winner Tyler Gonzalez will be back behind the wheel of his Tony Kart in the Vortex ROK Junior division along with rookie Kyffin Simpson. Californian Cole Morgan, older brother of karting hot shoe Carson Morgan, will make his 2018 Florida Winter Tour debut as he will join Speed Concepts Racing this weekend in Palm Beach. Simpson and Morgan will both look to feed off the speed and leadership of Gonzalez, who managed to secure a pair of Florida Winter Tour championships in 2017.

Noah Baker, Paul Bocuse and Alex Powell will fly the Speed Concepts Racing banner in Vortex Mini ROK with all three drivers showing speed during the past few events.

Speed continued, “Noah really came on in Homestead and had some solid qualifying runs. Alex proved that he is a master passer as he was able to drive through the field on several occasions, often classified as the biggest mover of the event, and Paul has shown the speed to run at the front of the field. Returning to Palm Beach where all three showed strengths in December, I am quietly confident that these kids will be fighting for race wins and podium results.”
