It will be a packed house under the Speed Concepts Racing tent this coming weekend at the second event of the 2021 United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). With eight drivers comprising of nine entries, the Redspeed by OTK team will look to carry the momentum for the first quarter of the season into the second with representation in six classes.

Winners in Florida events already in 2021, X30 Masters standout Scott Roberts and X30 Pro Junior star Ayden Ingratta will lead SCR into New Castle. With both competitors a threat for race wins in each and every event they enter, the pair will be aiming towards the top step of the podium in their specific categories. While Roberts will be the only Speed Concepts Racing driver in Masters, Ingratta will be joined by Jack Jeffers in X30 Pro Junior. Jeffers will also pilot an SCR branded kart in the KA100 Junior class as the only Speed driver to pull double duty of over the weekend. G3 Agyros will also join Jeffers in the KA class as he continues his constant and steady improvement in one of the most challenging divisions in the sport.

Two Speed Concepts Racing drivers will enter the X30 Pro class led by Mathias Ramirez. Known for his speed both in gearbox and non-shifter classes, Ramirez will trade in his shifter kart for an IAME X30 package as he looks to fight for the win. Team newcomer Santiago Benito will join Ramirez in the Pro class in his first USPKS event with the team while his younger brother Felipe will try his hand in the Mini Swift ranks. Continuing to push his comfort zone and be in the seat whenever possible, David Ramirez will fly the SCR and Redspeed colors in the Micro Swift division.

“We are looking forward to getting on track later this week,” explained Mike Speed. “This will be one of several trips we have to the New Castle Motorsports Park this season so it would be great to start it off with a handful of wins and podiums.

While official race action does not start until Saturday, SCR drivers will be on track Thursday in preparation for a busy weekend of competition. Stay tuned to the Speed Concepts Racing social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the event weekend.
