With countless race wins, podium results and one championship in the month of August, Speed Concepts Racing (SCR) and their Redspeed branded program will travel north to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and look to continue their success. Taking on the next round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), SCR will enter a stout six drivers at The Badger State Grand Prix this coming weekend.
“We had great success in August and hopefully that is a telling sign for the rest of 2020,” explained Mike Speed. “We left Indy, travelled back to Florida and have completely gone through everything to prep for this weekend. We have drivers that can win and podium in every class so that is the goal.”
While the largest contingent of drivers will come from the X30 Junior class, Speed Concepts Racing will enter a pair in the X30 Pro ranks with Luca Mars and Luke Lange. With experience behind them, both drivers will have a fighting chance to claim multiple wins this weekend. Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour champion Scott Roberts will be the lone SCR driver in the X30 Masters class in Wisconsin. Showing his strength and claiming multiple wins in August, look for Roberts to battle his way to the top of the podium.
Paul Bocuse, Jack Jeffers and Jace Park will be the Speed Concepts Racing trio in X30 Junior as all three have had success to date in 2020. Flexing their muscles at New Castle Motorsports Park, the junior standouts all ran in the top-five claiming multiple podiums and race wins. While the goal is to do the same at Road America, team boss Mike Speed knows that it will not be easy.
“We need to push hard and get everything out of our equipment when the time matters,” added Speed. “We are not letting up on the throttle and will continue to push hard through 2020 and onwards into 2021.”
With on track action beginning on Thursday, wheel-to-wheel racing will commence Saturday as two separate race days will make up the weekend. Stay tuned to their social media pages for news, information, results and photos from the event.
