Motorsports business often take years of planning, building and hard work before being established and recognized in the motorsports industry. Enter SimMetric Driver Performance Labs, a mobile simulator company providing teams, drivers, karters and fans alike the chance to obtain seat time on a race weekend, build skills for the future and provide sponsors and partners with a value-added experience that is greater than any other sport.

“I had a vision of what was needed to fill a void in the motorsports industry and immediately went to work to put my ideas into motion,” explained Greg De Giorgis, Principal of SimMetric Driver Performance Labs and a top Data Engineer. “We had a great response to our initial launch and had the opportunity to work with several drivers, coaches and teams during the COVID-19 delay. Now, with motorsports back on track, we are looking to expand our presence.”

Unknown to most, Greg De Giorgis was at the top of his game in Engineering before shifting his focus to SimMetric. Working with drivers and teams in several championships and showing great success, Greg has engineered and won in the Ferrari Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and IMSA Prototype Challenge, and has worked a handful of endurance races in the WeatherTech series. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from Penn State, De Giorgis sees the sky as the limit in motorsports simulation.

For less than the cost of a set of tires, a competitor can receive additional track time on a race weekend albeit on a lifelike simulator. Work with your engineer, coach or just grab some extra laps to warmup for a qualifying session or race. The opportunities are endless. Working with Road to Indy graduate and current NTT IndyCar Series Rookie Oliver Askew during the IndyCar iRacing Challenge as well as Kyle Kirkwood (Indy Lights) and Jonatan Jorge, Driver Coach for DeForce Racing’s Indy Pro 2000 drivers, IMSA’s Era Motorsports including working alongside Jeff Braun to develop a hyper accurate car model of the Oreca JS P217 LMP2 car, as well as teams and competitors in the Ferrari Challenge North America, SimMetric will continue to expand and show an increased involvement in the sim training program by signing on to be the development leader in the Road to Indy eSeries that will continue after the 2020 season concludes.

De Giorgis continued, “The pandemic opened the motorsports world to sim racing and the Road to Indy eSeries was a huge success. Looking to expand that program even more, I have jumped on board to lend a hand where I can and really bring the eSeries into the Road to Indy program.”

Already working as the Official Simulator Partner of the Road to Indy, D Motorsports, and Extreme Velocity Motorsports, Official Partner and Dealer for CXC Simulators, Official Dealer for VBOX Motorsports and Sabelt Racing USA and Solutions Provider for Tobii Pro, SimMetric Driver Performance Labs is looking to continue their expansion. Working with RTD Media & Management to cross promote and offer discounts to one another’s customers, SimMetric and RTD will provide percentage discounts on their services.

“I was introduced to Greg at a recent event through Erik Kramer as part of the Sablet America dealer network, and we have the same sort of focus on the future,” explained RTD’s Mike Maurini. “We are both driven, passionate and make a living in motorsports so the connection was perfect. The best promotion is word of mouth, and I think Greg and I can work hand in hand in promoting each other’s efforts.”

Kicking off their promotion program right away, SimMetric Driver Performance Labs are offering a 20% discount to new customers. Just call, email or see us at an event to book your sim session and mention RTDSIM20 to receive a 20% discount.

De Giorgis added, “Not to leave our current customers and supporters high and dry, any driver, team that mentions us on social media and posts a photo of our trailer, on our sim or utilizing our services can also book more time with us at a 10% discount. Be sure to tag us on social media.”
