Taking place this weekend, Al Morey and the rest of his Jay Howard Driver Development program will compete on the Streets of Toronto for rounds 14 and 15 of the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires program. Fresh off a strong run at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course less than two weeks ago, Morey will battle the 11-turn, 1.786-mile circuit north of the border for the first time in his motorsports career.
“I am looking forward to it,” explained Morey. “I had a good outing at St. Pete in my first-ever street race, so I am looking to take the knowledge and experience from that event and put it to good use this weekend.”
Currently 12th in the USF2000 championship point standings and sixth among rookie competitors, Morey is looking for a good weekend to catapult himself up the championship standings.
Morey continued, “Toronto is a good weekend to gain some championship points. The walls seem to take their toll on some drivers, so I am hoping for a clean race and some solid results up here in Canada.”
With a schedule that features two-wheel-to-wheel races over the weekend, the first race will take place Saturday afternoon with the second race Sunday morning. Stay tuned to the Al Morey Racing social media pages for more information from Toronto.
