Competing under the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport banner, Texan Ryan Shehan will be back behind the wheel of a Ligier JSF4 this weekend at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Set to make his USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires series debut, a pre-Road to Indy program, Shehan will use the weekend to test the waters and gain experience at the tricky VIR facility.
“I am excited to get back on track and go racing,” expressed Shehan. “As a racer, everyday not behind the wheel is agonizing. I am looking forward to being back with my Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport family and fighting at the front of the USF Juniors field. I watched the Indianapolis 500 intently this weekend and have set my goals high to be a driver in that event.”
Competing in another open wheel series, Shehan has been a model of consistency. With multiple top-ten finishes including a single podium result, Ryan Shehan is a driver who is looking to climb the ladder to the upper echelon of motorsports.
Shehan added, “I can’t thank my partners enough for all the help and support this season. Without them, I would not be able to race. I am learning every time I hit the track and get better every weekend. I would like nothing more but to add a USF Juniors race win or podium result to my resume this weekend.”
While the rest of the USF Juniors schedule is yet to be determined for Shehan, a good set of results this weekend could see the young driver back at more pre-Road to Indy events later on in 2022.
