Professional racing driver and entrepreneur Ryan Shehan is taking a bold step to reshape the future of junior motorsports with the launch of Bite Point Media, a cutting-edge agency and ecosystem designed to tackle the persistent challenges in karting, junior, and young professional racing.

After years of competing in environments where drivers, families, and teams often struggle to secure race-to-race funding, Shehan took a step back in 2024 to reassess the junior motorsports landscape. His time away from the track gave him a fresh perspective on the business of racing and the systemic hurdles preventing long-term growth and sustainability.

“In 2024, I stepped back and took a deep look at the state of junior motorsports,” said Shehan. “It became clear that while everyone involved works tirelessly and invests heavily, few are able to build a foundation for lasting success.”

Rather than continue down the path of short-term solutions, Shehan asked a pivotal question: What if the sport were designed intentionally from the ground up? This question sparked the creation of Bite Point Media, an ecosystem based on Shehan’s innovative Motorsports as a Platform (MaaP™) model. The company integrates content, fan engagement, partnerships, data/analytics, and experiential marketing into a unified approach aimed at transforming individual racing moments into sustained, long-term value.

“Motorsports doesn’t have a talent problem, it has a system problem,” Shehan explained. “Drivers are expected to juggle roles as athletes, marketers, and business leaders without the infrastructure to support them. Bite Point is here to change that.”

Initially focusing on karting, junior, and young professional racing, Bite Point Media plans to scale its impact across drivers, teams, series, regions, fans, and partner networks, creating an interconnected ecosystem that fosters growth and opportunities for all involved. The official launch will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event hosted by the Austin Chamber of Commerce in March.

“This is just the beginning,” Shehan added. “We’re committed to listening, learning, and evolving alongside those who believe that karting and junior motorsports can become more sustainable and accessible for the next generation of drivers.”
