Entering the final ROK Cup USA event of the 2019 season, Team BENIK has their sights set on the top step of the podium. Entering six drivers across three divisions, BENIK branded drivers will take on the temporary circuit at the RIO All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada October 30th to November 2nd.
“We have both new and returning drivers to the team for their runs in Las Vegas,” explained BENIK’s Nick Mitchell. “For some, it will be their first attempt at a temporary circuit and the RIO event, but we can’t wait to hit the track Wednesday morning with our goal of standing atop the podium on Saturday afternoon.”
Three Team BENIK drivers will take their talents to the Micro ROK class as Carson Weinberg, Asher Ochstein and Enzo Vidmontiene look to work together and find their way to the front of the field. Utilizing the potent BENIK cadet chassis, the trio will not only gain experience, but look for the necessary results to springboard their way into the 2020 race season.
Carson’s older brother Cameron Weinberg and Michael Costello will battle in the talent filled Mini ROK class. Looking to carry the BENIK brand to the top step of the podium, Mitchell and his drivers know the task at hand is a tough one but are committed to the battle.
Mitchell continued, “The Mini ROK field is one of the most competitive in North America, but one that we are committed to being on top of. We have had a ton of success in the class in the past and look forward to having more now and onwards into the future.”
Team BENIK will enter one driver in the ROK Junior class with Marcelo Panniccia. Making the trek to Las Vegas from his home in Canada, Panniccia will fly the Team BENIK colors in his quest to win big in Las Vegas.
With on track action beginning on Wednesday, Team BENIK will turn up the wick on Thursday with qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend. Friday will see additional heat races per class as results will set the grids for Saturday’s main events.
