Always a threat for race wins and podium results in the shifterkart ranks, TB Kart USA lived up to their reputation this past weekend at the Florida Winter Tour. Taking on the Isle Casino temporary circuit during the opening round of the popular winter karting program, Rene Martinelli led the team on the results sheets with a second-place podium finish in the Shifter Master ROK class.

“It was a good way to start our season, but we are fully focused on our results for the upcoming rounds as well as growing our race team and dealership network,” expressed TB Kart USA Importer Farshad Bagheri. “We have had strong results at the local and regional level for the past couple of seasons, and when we race nationally, we can continue that performance as we have shown in 2020 and early 2021. While results bring us trophies, we will be pushing hard both on and off the track this season.”

Proven speed was shown this weekend as Martinelli qualified near the front of the Shifter Master ROK class and score three second-place results in the heat races. Lining up second for the start of Saturday afternoon’s prefinal, the TB Kart USA driver struggled off the line, losing one position where he eventually finished third. Back to the track on Sunday and with the goal of a podium result, Martinelli did just that moving his way forward throughout the twenty-lap main event to earn the second step on the podium.

Team Boss Farshad Bagheri would have no luck in Pompano Beach. With top-five pace throughout the heats, sixth and seventh place results were had in the first two wheel-to-wheel races of the weekend before contact in heat three forced him to retire from the prefinal. Returning with a vengeance on Sunday, Bagheri drove from 12th to eighth, garnering another top-ten finish for TB Kart USA.

With more than thirty drivers in the Shifter ROK class, Zachary Hollingshead would fly the TB Kart USA colors in the front half of the field. Progressing through the heat races and eventually earning a 14th place result in the prefinal, Hollingshead was hoping Sunday would be his day. Continually improving both his speed and results in each passing on-track session, Hollingshead saved his best drive of the weekend for the main event, gaining another four positions to earn a tenth-place finish putting all three TB Kart USA drivers in the top-ten on Sunday.

The next on-track action for TB Kart USA will be in St. Petersburg, Florida for the second round of the popular Florida Winter Tour. With arrive and drive, tent and transport, sales and service programs in place, TB Kart USA invites you to come and experience a Florida Winter Tour event and do so as part of the TB Kart USA program.
