It is back to the Sunshine State this weekend for Supertune as the Indiana based program will take on the opening round of the 2019 United States Pro Kart Series. With a five driver lineup highlighted by ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour and Superkarts! USA Winter Series winner Kai Sorensen, Supertune also welcomes team newcomer, John Burke.

“I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with John this weekend and onwards into the future,” explained Ben Cruttenden. “He is a young talent behind the wheel, and I think he is going to help elevate our junior program to the next level. I am confident that he will win races for us, and together, we are hoping that it happens this weekend.”

With Burke the lone Supertune entrant in the X30 Junior class, he will be joined by a quartet of drivers scattered amongst the Micro and Mini Swift classis. Kai Sorensen will lead the way on the strength of his multiple championships already in 2019, as well as Florida Winter Tour Vice Champions Anderson Leonard and Karsyn Walters.

Cruttenden continued, “We have had a ton of success in the Micro and Mini classes, but want to up our game in Junior as well and I think John will allow us to do this. Always close to the front of the field, I look for him to flourish and become one of the best junior drivers in the country.”

On track action will begin on Thursday afternoon and progress through the weekend with official wheel-to-wheel races taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for photos, news, results and information from the event.
