Teen driver Jak Crawford is set for a big week at the Portland International Raceway in Oregon. With the second to last weekend of the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship on the horizon, Crawford will also visit Doernbecher Children’s Hospital on Wednesday as part of the RE/MAX Month of Miracles, a campaign to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“One of the reasons I was excited to be sponsored by RE/MAX of Texas was the opportunity to be involved in the company’s partnership with CMN Hospitals,” Crawford says. “I’m looking forward to meeting the brave kids undergoing treatment and to learn more about the hospital’s work.”

Crawford will be sharing video and photos from his visit as part of an Instagram takeover of the official @remax account. He’ll also be volunteering with a bingo game at the hospital and giving out free passes to the weekend’s race. Cooper Tires Indy Lights driver Rinus VeeKay, who currently sits second in the series championship points battle, will join Crawford for the hospital tour.

“On Saturday we’ll be giving the kids and their families the VIP treatment, including a tour of the Road to Indy Paddock and the opportunity for a meet and greet with the competitors,” Crawford said. “I can’t wait for them to see the track!”

Crawford will share videos and photos from the race in a second Instagram takeover on Saturday.

The RE/MAX Month of Miracles, celebrated each August, is a month-long celebration of the life-changing work done every day at CMN member hospitals. Through various office fundraisers and the sale of “Miracle Homes,” RE/MAX agents have donated millions to help kids since the partnership began in 1992.

After Wednesday’s hospital tour, Crawford will return to the track in his Cape Motorsports USF2000 entry as he aims for the top step of the podium at a track that he has yet to visit.

“I’ve been working all summer toward my goal of a podium win, and there’s not a better place to do it than Portland,” Crawford says.
