Paityn MaryJane Feyen is set to kick off the 2026 Toyota GR Cup season this weekend as she takes on the series’ inaugural event on the Streets of Arlington, Texas, with Copeland Motorsports. The highly anticipated season opener will run alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, marking an exciting start to Feyen’s campaign in one of sports car racing’s most competitive one-make championships.
The Arlington street circuit will present several new challenges for Feyen. Not only will it be her first race weekend with Copeland Motorsports, but the temporary street course is also new to the entire Toyota GR Cup field. It will also mark the first time Feyen has competed on a street circuit behind the wheel of the Toyota GR86 platform.
Despite the unknowns, Feyen arrives well-prepared after completing multiple preseason test sessions with her new team and staying sharp behind the wheel through recent Late Model and Legend Car racing.
Transitioning to a new team while tackling a brand-new circuit provides a fresh opportunity for Feyen as she looks to build on momentum from her 2025 series campaign.
“I’m really excited to get the season started with Copeland Motorsports,” explained Feyen. “It’s always a challenge going to a brand-new track, especially a street circuit, but that makes it even more exciting. We’ve had some great preseason testing, and I’ve stayed busy racing Late Models, so I feel ready to jump into the weekend. Arlington will be a learning experience for everyone in the series, but I’m looking forward to working with the team and seeing what we can accomplish together.”
The race weekend will begin on Friday with two practice sessions followed by the first qualifying session. Saturday will feature race one and the second qualifying session, while Sunday will conclude the weekend with the second and final race of the event.
