Fresh off a top-five result at the Canadian Open after a spirited drive from deep in the field, Racing Edge Motorsports and D2 Motors driver Anthony Martella is set for a busy four weeks of racing. Taking his talents south of the border yet again, Martella will take on the final rounds of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour at New Castle Motorsports Park this weekend, the kickoff to four weekends of racing in a row.
“The goal is to earn the Canadian National Championship win in four weeks’ time, but that goal begins this weekend,” explained Martella. “The next few weeks will help me prepare to try and achieve the ultimate goal this season, and of course we will be looking to add race wins and podium results along the way.”
Traveling from his home in Canada to New Castle Motorsports Park, Martella will compete in the X30 Junior class at the SKUSA SummerNationals in Spiceland, Indiana. Following the conclusion of that race weekend, the Canadian driver will travel to the New York Race Complex for the ROK Fest East program before returning to his home in Canada. Upon his return, Martella will take part in another event weekend at Mosport Karting, a test and tune for the following weekend’s Canadian National Championship event.
Martella added, “I am super pumped and ready to go. Mosport is my home track, and I know we can win there. I know we have the team and equipment to win. We just need to execute on race weekends and hope that everything falls our way. A huge thanks to NIN Transport for all the help and support this year and onwards in to the future.”
