OCALA GRAN PRIX TO OFFER TRADE IN PROGRAM FOR ALL LOCAL SERIES PARTICIPANTS

This past weekend during the second event of the Ocala Gran Prix Spring/Summer Local Series, Ocala Gran Prix’s own Jorge Arellano announced a trade in program for all series participants. Becoming an IAME engine dealer late in 2016, the powerhouse race team and industry-leading company is pleased to offer a trade in program for all of the Ocala Gran Prix local participants, taking used Rotax packages off the hands of their customers, in exchange for brand new Micro Swift, Mini Swift or IAME X30 power plants.

“It is a changing time in the karting industry and it is hurting not only the businesses involved, but the end users as well,” explained Arellano. “With these big changes there is instability and the industry is losing customers. That is not the way to make the sport healthy again. I want to take the stress of our local racers who have invested their hard earned money in Rotax engines. I will lay a stronger foundation to help our club grow. This is one of many things I can do to help the local racers that have been strong supporters of Ocala Gran Prix. I feel it will be a great step in getting the Ocala Gran Prix local contingent utilizing brand new IAME engines. IAME is strong in the USA. There are so many organizations and tracks throughout the country using the IAME product line and Ocala Gran Prix can’t afford to skip this fast growth of this engine platform.”

Arellano added, “The Ocala Gran Prix sponsored trade-in program is not for anyone. Only participants that have competed in an Ocala Gran Prix Local Series event in 2015 or 2016 will have the opportunity to take advantage of this special offer.”

A definition of a local supporter is a racer that, in the LAST TWO YEARS has participated in three local events in the Rotax powered classes only. Ocala Gran Prix will be using the Ocala Gran Prix MYLAPS points and local race registration to make the list of qualified racers.

Arellano continued, “I am almost certain there will be about twenty racers that can participate in the trade program. These participants will need to trade in one complete working Rotax engine that is still sealed and has an up-to-date passport for a brand new IAME X30.”

All engines that are eligible for trade in must be operational and complete which includes the engine, wire harness and electronics, exhaust system and radiator and passport. OGP will only allow the starting year of 2012 to newer for the trade-in engines program. Engine components will be at the discretion of Ocala Gran Prix staff.

The Ocala Gran Prix Local Series College Program is still in effect and points will not allowed to be transferred.
