Victorious this past weekend at the NOLA Motorsports Park, Nitro Motorsports heads west for the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli Western Championship with a three-driver lineup. As a dominant team in the National Series, Nitro Motorsports will look to continue their string of solid results at the famed Sonoma Raceway this weekend.

“It is always good to compete from coast to coast, especially for us as we look to continue to expand the Nitro Motorsports name,” explained Nick Tucker. “We have had speed and success from several different Nitro competitors in 2024 and will look to continue that streak this weekend.”

Ready to tackle Wine Country under the Nitro Motorsports banner will be Gio Ruggiero, Michele Abbate, and Brad McAllister. Both Ruggiero and Abbate have competed with Nitro Motorsports already in 2024, Ruggiero at the Sebring International Raceway, and Abbate at Road Atlanta where she stood on the Pro / Am podium. Brad McAllister will join the duo this weekend in California.

Tucker added, “We have pushed the envelope this year and have been on the podium with four different drivers, had other drivers earn fast lap awards, and have five of nine possible podiums in the National Championship. Moving to the Western program, we have three hungry drivers who are looking to continue the success of not only for the team but themselves as well.”

Set to hit the track on Friday for a trio of practice sessions, Gio Ruggiero, Michele Abbate, and Brad McAllister will qualify Saturday morning for a pair of wheel-to-wheel Trans Am Presented by Pirelli Western Championship races Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
