It’s a full field of drivers for Speed Concepts Racing (SCR) at the annual ROK Cup USA ROK Vegas event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Entering one of their biggest driver lineups of the season, a stout nine entries will look to fight for race wins and podium results with their SpeedLab Racing Engines powered Redspeed by OTK chassis at the temp circuit on the grounds of Planet Hollywood.
“We have a few new drivers to our program as well as some returning drivers,” explained Mike Speed. “We have two drivers who will pull double duty as well. Las Vegas always brings more to the table, but we have been preparing for this trip for quite some time and can’t wait to get started.”
Two drivers who will see action in a pair of classes over the weekend will be both Ayden Ingratta and G3 Argyros. Set to fight for the top spot in ROK Junior and VLR Junior, Ingratta has been a multi-time race winner in 2021 and will look to cap off his ROK campaign victorious. Argyros has been a driver who has consistently improved throughout the year and has claimed top honors in regional competition. Continuing to build his resume of experience, Argyros will be able to learn from Ingratta in the tight and twisty confines of the barrier lined circuit. Joining Ingratta and Argyros in the VLR Junior class will be Speed Concepts Racing newcomer Hayden Wise.
ROK Senior will see Jack Jeffers and Canadian Ryan MacDermid fly the SCR colors as the pair will fight for supremacy in one of the headline classes. Jeffers will compete in his second senior event of the season while MacDermid returns to the ROK paddock after more than a year away. Scott Roberts will be the lone SCR soldier in ROK Masters as the multi-time race winner and perennial frontrunner will look to close his ROK season on a high.
In what could be classified as one of the biggest and best shifterkart fields in ROK history, Mathias Ramirez will look to put his Redspeed chassis at the top of the charts. A winner in Florida Winter Tour competition earlier in the season, Ramirez has been testing and training for his chance to earn the ROK Vegas Championship.
The five-day event will kick off on Wednesday with heat races beginning on Friday. Everything will boil down to the main events on Championship Sunday and the chance to be crowned ROK Vegas Champions.
