Nicolas Stati returns to action this weekend at the Grand Prix of Arlington as the INDY NXT by Firestone championship heads to Texas for Round Two of the 2026 season. Competing with Cusick Morgan Motorsports, Stati arrives determined to continue the progression he displayed during his series debut in St. Petersburg.
Making his first start in INDY NXT at the season opener, Stati impressed with a composed and methodical performance on the demanding Streets of St. Petersburg. The outing provided a valuable foundation for the young driver as he continues adapting to one of the most competitive development series in North American motorsport.
With one race weekend now under his belt, Stati heads to Arlington focused on translating that experience into further gains. Backed by a dedicated team and equipped with valuable data from the opening round, the Australian rookie is continuing to refine his approach and unlock more pace as he grows increasingly comfortable in the #15 Cusick Morgan Motorsports machine.
The Grand Prix of Arlington presents a new challenge for the entire field. The 2.73-mile, 14-turn street circuit winds through the streets of Arlington, Texas. As a brand-new event on the calendar, the circuit offers a unique opportunity with every competitor approaching the track on equal footing.
“I’m excited to get to Arlington,” said Stati. “Since it’s a new track for everyone, we’re all starting from the same place in understanding the track, which makes it really interesting. We’ve all done a lot of work on the simulator, but you never really know where the lap time is until you get out there. I’m getting more comfortable in the car with each session, so I’m ready to keep pushing and see what we can achieve this weekend.”
Stati’s race weekend begins with Practice One on Friday, followed by Practice Two and Qualifying on Saturday. The Grand Prix of Arlington will go green on Sunday at 11:00 AM ET.
All on-track sessions will be available to stream on FOX One, with practice and qualifying airing on FS2 and the race broadcast live on FS1.
