Soldiering through the 2020 season with great success and only two event weekends remaining on the calendar, Formula Race Promotions is pleased to welcome RJay Racing to their program. Beginning at the next event at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex (PittRace), RJay Racing will enter two cars in the F2000 / FA division and have two additional cars available for arrive drive programs for the remainder of the year and onwards into next season.

“RJay Racing is excited to join FRP in the F2000 and FA Championship Series for the remainder of this season and beyond,” explained RJ Saari. “The team is based at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex and led by me, and we have a relationship with former IndyCar Series driver Jay Howard as he will be the leader of our Driver Development through his Jay Howard Driver Development program.”

Saari and Howard joined forces after realizing great demand for drivers seeking more seat time across various developmental classes and open wheel series throughout North America. With a more robust schedule and footprint, both teams are able to offer new and existing competitors more options, exposure, and seat time in a variety of different racecars. Under one umbrella, they are now able to offer testing and racing opportunities and that will start at Formula Race Promotions.

With two drivers already confirmed for the remainder of the 2020 Formula Race Promotions series including Saari, who comes from the Spec Racer Ford program, and up and coming champion karter Vaughn Glace, the team has two more seats available for one off events or a complete race and/or test program for the rest of 2020 and onwards into 2021.

Saari added, “Our association with Jay Howard will allow us the opportunity to enter many more programs in the future, but right now we are focused on FRP and look forward to meeting everyone at the track.”
