Nathan Dupuis took on the Toyota GR Cup North America event at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this past weekend with Copeland Motorsports, combining solid on-track performances with a meaningful effort to support Autism Awareness Month. Racing with a special initiative that helped shine a light on a cause close to his heart, the young Canadian used the weekend to raise awareness while continuing to build experience in one of North America’s most competitive single-make championships.

Dupuis qualified 15th for Race 1 and drove forward to an impressive 11th-place finish on track, narrowly missing out on a top-ten result. Unfortunately, post-race track limits penalties dropped him back to 24th in the final classification. In Race 2, Dupuis once again started 15th and delivered another strong and consistent drive, this time bringing the car home 12th to cap off a productive weekend at the demanding Texas circuit.

Beyond the results, the COTA weekend carried extra meaning for Dupuis as he used the event to promote Autism Awareness Month, a cause that is deeply personal to him and his family. With the support of Copeland Motorsports, Dupuis was proud to use his platform to raise awareness and support for the autism community while connecting with fans throughout the race weekend.

“COTA was a really meaningful weekend for me,” explained Dupuis. “Of course, we always want more when it comes to results, but I was proud of the progress we made on track and grateful for the opportunity to represent something much bigger than racing. Supporting Autism Awareness Month means a lot to my family and me, so being able to do so while competing with Copeland Motorsports made this event incredibly special. I’m thankful for everyone who supported the effort, and I’m looking forward to building on this momentum at the next round.”

With another weekend of growth and experience now complete, Dupuis leaves Circuit of the Americas with encouraging pace, valuable lessons, and a memorable event that extended well beyond the racetrack.
