It was a long off season but the start of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship is finally here. Taking the first green flag of the season this weekend at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) will enter rookie driver Max Kaeser and sophomore pilot Jack William Miller as they look to start the season right on the barrier lined circuit in downtown St. Pete.
“We are glad the season is here and can’t wait to get started,” expressed Jack Miller, Co-Owner of the MVM program. “We had a good off-season and completed a lot of development work on our cars. Additionally, we were able to take part in some winter tests as well as the Road to Indy Spring Training this past weekend. Definitely ready and looking forward to wheel-to-wheel racing.”
Returning to his second season of USF2000 competition, Miller looks to utilize knowledge and experience gained from his first season of competition to propel him up the running order. As a new team, new car and new driver in the series in 2019, this year will be a much more streamlined and organized program.
Joining Miller in the #41 MVM entry will be Colorado rookie Max Kaeser. Climbing through the karting ranks and into formula car racing, the newest member of the Indianapolis based program has his goals set for 2020.
Miller continued, “I think we have achievable goals set for 2020 and will reset them halfway through the year. We have a new engineering program for this season and think we are on a good path. The goal is to of course win, but if not, we want to put ourselves in the best possible position for solid results.”
