After a podium performance this past weekend at the Sunshine State Karting Challenge, Speed Concepts Racing has confirmed Mathias Ramirez for a 2021 campaign. Set to contest a full calendar this upcoming season, Ramirez will compete in both single speed and gearbox classes as he joins already confirmed Speed Concepts Racing drivers Paul Bocuse, Ayden Ingratta and Scott Roberts with more announcements on the horizon.

“We are really excited to welcome Mathias to Speed Concepts Racing and the Redspeed brand,” added Mike Speed. “Over the years he has shown his commitment to win, pushed his talents to another level and has worked hard both on and off the track. I have been a huge supporter of him since his days back in junior, so it is nice to have him in SCR colors. Joining our program for 2021, Ramirez will be able to put all the stress of racing aside and focus 100% to the task at hand.”

Set to compete in the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series, SKUSA Pro Tour, United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) and ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour, Ramirez will see action in both X30 Senior and Senior Shifter ROK in his quest for race wins, podiums and championships.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to join a high caliber program such as Speed Concepts Racing,” added Ramirez. “I have been friends of the Speed family for a long time, and we have worked together in the past. I feel like this is almost a coming home for me and can’t wait to get 2021 started.”

Speed added, “Mathias will compete in the X30 Senior class in SKUSA and USPKS competition but will be back behind the wheel of a gearbox kart in ROK Cup USA events. He will be a valuable asset and we both have our goals set high.”

Already confirmed for all major series in North America in 2021, Ramirez will join the SCR Junior drivers Paul Bocuse and Ayden Ingratta in SKUSA, ROK and USPKS action this coming season. Masters driver Scott Roberts will also look to stake claim to the Master ROK and X30 Masters class in the Florida Winter Tour and United States Pro Kart Series to confirm drivers in junior, senior and master level action for the upcoming season.
