With a recent move to the United States from Brazil, Luiz Cordeiro closed the first quarter of 2021 with a Vice-Championship. Standing on the championship podium at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series, Cordeiro proved that he will be one of the championship contenders in the Masters category in 2021.

Competing at the AMR Motorplex in the shadows of the Homestead-Miami Speedway and earning three podium results and four top-five finishes in the four-race series, Cordeiro made his presence felt as he kicked off his 2021 season in podium style. Showing his speed in the main events, Cordeiro earned fastest race lap honors in three of four finals for his Piquet Sports squad.

“A huge thank you to Piquet Sports and the SKUSA staff for a terrific program,” expressed Cordeiro. “I can’t wait to compete in the entire Pro Tour, as well as the much-anticipated SKUSA SuperNationals which is at the top of my race win list in 2021.”

Courtesy of his Vice-Championship, Cordeiro earned a free entry and tires to a SKUSA Pro Tour event and plans to use his on-track time to prepare for the SuperNationals.

Cordeiro added, “My goal in 2021 is to become the SuperNationals Champion. I will be putting my best effort to make sure that I am 100% prepared and ready to take the fight to the contenders in the class and stand at the top of the podium in Las Vegas. I think we showed that we have the speed to do this at the Winter Series and with a few additional months or preparation, I am sure we can be there in November.”

Competing for Piquet Sports, Cordeiro is also working with young drivers providing coaching and training to improve race skills, gain knowledge and experience and prepare them for future events and for their climb up the motorsports ladder.
