Coming off a hot weekend racing in the Texas heat at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires and Turn 3 Motorsport driver Louka St-Jean looks to gain more experience in the series season finale at Portland International Raceway this weekend.
The French-Canadian joined the USF Pro 2000 series halfway through the season, moving up from the series’ lower counterpart USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires. The Turn 3 Motorsports driver has produced impressive results in the four rounds he has been with the team but plans to use this season as preparation for a full-season campaign in 2024.
“We had a tough weekend in Texas,” explains St-Jean. “I’m looking forward to putting it behind me. Portland should be fun; we aren’t in the running for the championship, so I’ll be using it as a weekend to prepare for the 2024 season, and hopefully reset my best Pro 2000 result of the season.”
Louka St-Jean and his USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires program will hit the track at Portland International Raceway for the season finale Friday, August 31 for a test day before taking part in official race weekend sessions Friday through Sunday, where the series will race alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for one final time this year. Since Louka is a rookie this 2023 season, it will be the young driver’s first time behind the wheel at the 1.964-mile road course in a USF Pro 2000 car.

Août 30, 2023 – Après un week-end de courses sous la chaleur texane au Circuit des Amériques (COTA), le pilote de l’USF Pro 2000 présenté par Cooper Tires et de l’équipe Turn 3 Motorsport, Louka St-Jean, cherche à acquérir davantage d’expérience lors de la finale de la saison sur le circuit international de Portland ce week-end.
Le québcois a rejoint la série USF Pro 2000 à mi-chemin de la saison, passant de la série inférieure USF2000 présentée par Cooper Tires. Le pilote de l’équipe Turn 3 Motorsport a obtenu d’impressionnants résultats lors des quatre manches auxquelles il a participé avec l’équipe, mais il prévoit d’utiliser cette saison comme préparation pour une campagne complète en 2024.
“Nous avons eu un week-end difficile au Texas”, explique St-Jean. “Je suis impatient de passer à autre chose. Portland devrait être amusant, nous ne sommes pas en lice pour le championnat, donc je vais l’utiliser comme un week-end pour me préparer à la saison 2024, et espérons réinitialiser mon meilleur résultat en Pro 2000 de la saison.”
Louka St-Jean et son programme USF Pro 2000 présenté par Cooper Tires fouleront la piste du circuit international de Portland pour la finale de la saison le vendredi 31 août pour une journée d’essais. Il participera aux sessions officielles du week-end de course du vendredi au dimanche, où la série courra aux côtés de la série NTT INDYCAR pour une dernière fois cette année. Ce sera la première fois que le jeune pilote sera au volant de la voiture USF Pro 2000 sur ce circuit routier de 1,964 mile.
