K-Hill Motorsports enjoyed a dominant weekend at Summit Point Motorsports Park during the latest Formula Race Promotions (FRP) event, collecting six victories across Atlantic and F1600 competition while setting a new track record in the final Atlantic race of the weekend.
The team fielded three cars in the Atlantic category, with Harbir Dass competing in the Atlantic 016 class and R. Bruce Hamilton and Robert Albani representing K-Hill Motorsports in the Atlantic Open class. Dass and Hamilton secured pole positions in their respective classes during qualifying before weather forced the cancellation of the opening heat race. When the Atlantic field finally returned to the track Sunday, the K-Hill entries immediately showed their pace. Dass and Hamilton each captured victories in their respective classes in the first completed heat race before repeating the performance in the weekend’s feature race, sweeping their respective class competitions. Albani would claim second in the only heat race of the weekend, following it up with a top-five finish in the feature race.
Dass saved one of the weekend’s biggest accomplishments for the final Atlantic race. The K-Hill Motorsports driver broke the existing track record at Summit Point, a mark that had stood for 15 years by a K-Hill Motorsports entry driven by Peter Portante, further highlighting the team’s pace throughout the weekend.
K-Hill Motorsports also fielded four cars in the F1600 ranks, with D. Ybarra, Jake LeRoy, and Axel LeRoy competing in F1600 and D. Adorno representing the team in F1600 Masters. Race one saw Ybarra take the overall F1600 victory, while Adorno added another class win in Masters. Axel LeRoy finished fifth, with Jake LeRoy crossing the line seventh. The team continued its winning ways in race two, with Ybarra once again taking the F1600 victory and Adorno repeating his Masters class win. Axel finished sixth, while Jake’s race came to an early end following an on-track incident. Ybarra capped off the weekend with another victory in the feature race, completing a dominant weekend in F1600 competition. Axel finished sixth and Jake seventh, while Adorno narrowly missed the finish after retiring just four laps short of the checkered flag.
The results added another strong chapter to K-Hill Motorsports’ Formula Race Promotions campaign, with the team showcasing its strength across multiple classes and disciplines.
“This was an incredible weekend for K-Hill Motorsports,” expressed Team Owner Brandi Kaiser. “To have both of our Atlantic cars sweep their classes, Robert claim two top-fives, and then have Harbir break a track record that had stood for 15 years is something the entire team can be proud of. Our F1600 program was just as strong, with D. Yabarra and D. Adorno both taking multiple class wins throughout the weekend. We had a few setbacks, but that’s part of racing, and the overall performance of the team was outstanding. Everyone worked extremely hard, and it’s always rewarding to see that effort translate into results like these.”
Following a weekend filled with victories, podium performances, and a historic track record, K-Hill Motorsports will look to carry its momentum into the next round of competition. K-Hill Motorsports will now turn its attention to the next Formula Race Promotions event at Carolina Motorsports Park, scheduled for August 28-30.
