JTR Motorsports Engineering is set for a busy weekend at Road America for the next rounds of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama and Porsche Endurance Challenge North America by Yokohama. The penultimate event for both championships will see JTR Motorsports Engineering field three entries in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GT3 category, followed by two of those entries continuing into the Porsche Endurance Challenge on Sunday. Road America is one of North America’s most renowned road-racing facilities. At 4.048 miles and 14 turns, it is the longest circuit on the 2026 schedule.
In the Porsche Sprint Challenge, Nick Shaeffer will pilot the #282 machine in the Pro-Am class, while David Musial Jr. will campaign the #231 Porsche, also in Pro-Am. David Musial Sr. rounds out the Sprint Challenge lineup in the Masters class aboard the #226 entry. The team will then transition to endurance competition Sunday where JTR Motorsports Engineering will also compete with two Porsche entries, each featuring a two-driver lineup in the GT3 Cup Pro-Am class. Shaeffer will share driving duties with Rob Walker in the #282, while the #231 will see David Musial Jr. with Peter Ludwig.
With both championships approaching their final rounds, JTR Motorsports Engineering is looking forward to putting the team’s depth to the test.

Having three Sprint Challenge entries and then two endurance entries gives the entire team plenty to manage, but it’s exactly the kind of challenge we enjoy. Road America is a track that rewards preparation and consistency, so we’ll be focused on getting every car dialed in before turning our attention to the wheel-to-wheel races over the weekend. We’re looking for strong results across the board and hopefully a few trophies to show for the effort.”
With championship points and podium opportunities on the line, JTR Motorsports Engineering heads to Road America ready for a demanding but exciting weekend of Porsche competition. The event weekend will see cars on track for unofficial testing on Wednesday before wheel-to-wheel racing commences Friday and goes through the weekend.
